Course Description

Punk rock gave rise to an art movement that has come to influence design, fashion, and visual cultural around the world. Through printmaking processes including screen-printing and risograph, as well as do-it-yourself techniques such as photocopying and collage, you will explore the history and context of this distinctive aesthetic. Discover the integral role that printmaking and D.I.Y. media production played in Punk, feminism, and other anti-establishment movements as you create hand-printed t-shirts, posters, stickers, and zines of your own design. Projects will encourage a spirit of inclusion, collaboration and self-expression.
Appropriate for all artistic levels.
