Course Description

This is free training for parents of children with developmental disabilities. Join us to enhance skills and knowledge including relevant sexual health information, barriers to communicating, human sexual development, and tips for talking. This Elevatus Training is presented by Temple University Harrisburg along with the Temple University Institute on Disabilities.

 

Course Outline

Registration is required.

Date: May 29, 2024

Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Location: Live over Zoom meeting (training link will be sent by email to registered participants the day before the event).

 

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to: 

  1. Examine barriers to talking about sexuality
  2. Gain knowledge about sexuality and developmental disabilities
  3. Acquire and practice skills in communicating about sexuality with your young and grown children with disabilities
