Course Description

We will center upon the Gilded Age and Progressivism. Discussions will investigate the impact Industrialism had on society and how society responded to some of the created problems. Learn how the fears and anxieties of the Gilded Age gave rise to Progressivism. We will study the key personalities, goals, successes and failures of the short lived Progressive era. The course is designed to illustrate how this period is reflected in our world today.

Presented by James H. Robertson, who holds an MA in Modern European History from Washington State University and is an Adjunct Professor of History at Eastern University.
