SLOW STITCHING

Location: In-person at Center City (TUCC)

We will cover a few different types of hand stitching from the quilting world. We will create samples of both English Paper Piecing and Free Style Stitching. Bring some fabric scraps, threads and a desire to explore your own style and ideas.

Instructor Bio:

Sue Leimbach is a happily retired nurse administrator. She has two graduate degrees from Temple, one of them in Adult Education. She has been sewing since middle school and quilting since 1996. She is possibly obsessed with textiles, fabrics and threads. She firmly believes in the pursuit of beauty and will spend some time every single day sewing, embroidering, embellishing and/or hand quilting. She looks forward to sharing her passion for the Slow Stitch Movement and the community this class can build and excited to return to Olli in-person. Welcome all

Why when I’m registering do I join the Wait List?
Several of our courses are in high demand. In order to accommodate our members who are not tech-savvy and have trouble registering online, we created a registration system in which there is no advantage to registering early, no disadvantage to registering later.

When registering, you join the Wait List for each course. Don’t be alarmed. This does not mean the course is full. After the registration period is over, we run a lottery on the courses, and it randomly determines who is admitted to each course and who is not. You typically will receive notification regarding which courses you are admitted to, about two weeks before the start of the semester. If a course accepts 150 or more students, you are very likely to get into it.
