Course Description

Mindful Movement is a lecture/workshop designed for the full time employee population. This presentation will equip participants with stress reduction techniques and everyday movements that can be done to elicit a calm mind, spirit, and body. Utilizing movements from yoga and tai chi participants will be given the tools for overall well-being through every age of their life. This lecture/workshop does require a little bit of movement, but can be done while wearing clothes that one would wear to work daily. By participating in this presentation/workshop participants will be achieve the following:

1. Learn how to do basic yoga and tai chi movements

2. Learn how to move slowly with intention

3. Learn how to recognize triggers of stress and coping techniques
