This course will investigate three centuries of autocracy, debauchery, betrayal, murder and madness during the Romanov Dynasty of Russia. The dynastic journey will begin in a small Ipatiev monastery in Ekatrerinburg only to culminate in a hail of bullets 300 years later in the same monastery. We will explore the complexity of Russian society, mind and culture. Presented by James H. Robertson, who holds an MA in Modern European History from Washington State University and is an Adjunct Professor of History at Eastern University.
