Technology Skills Needed to Fully Participate in OLLI and Beyond

Location: In-person at Center City (TUCC)
This hands-on computer course will be taught in OLLI’s computer lab, so you can practice everything covered in class. This course is designed for the not-so-tech-savvy individual who wants to bring their skills to the next level. You will learn everything you need to know to fully participate in OLLI: what resources are on our website and how to navigate it; how to use DestinyOne, our online registration system; how to make full use of Zoom for online/hybrid classes, and how to do effective Internet searches so the information you find is trustworthy and useful.
Pre-requisite: Must have an email account and must know the password to their account so they can log into it through Temple computers.
Maximum in-person registrants: 20
Instructor’s Bio:
Adam Brunner is the Director of the OLLI program. Over the past year, he became a licensed trainer for the OATS (Older Adult Technology Services) program, and has been teaching people with limited computer skills, how to navigate the digital world.
Notes
In-Person CoursesIf you are enrolled in an in-person course, you will be required to:
- follow current public health guidelines, which may include masking and social distancing, and are subject to change, while on campus.
- provide proof of vaccination, or request a medical or religious exemption, prior to your first day of class. Students who have an approved exemption will be required to test for COVID-19 at least once a week.
- obtain a noncredit OwlCard. An OwlCard is a Temple-specific photo ID that will give you access to campus buildings and classrooms.
