Pursuant to Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law, (the “CPSL”) and accordance with the Temple Background Checks for Employees Having Contact with Minors Policy #950.593, individuals who have responsibility for the care, supervision, guidance, or control of minors or those who have routine interaction with minors are required to provide Temple University with Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service. 

Those who interact with matriculated students who are enrolled at Temple or prospective students visiting Temple’s campuses do NOT need to go through the Child Abuse Certification process and should NOT be indicated on this form. 

The following Child Abuse Certifications will be conducted for all applicants and employees, fourteen (14) years of age or older, who, as a result of their current or prospective role within Temple, are responsible for the welfare of minors or have direct contact with them. Individuals must affirm in writing that he/she is not disqualified from working with minors.

  • Pennsylvania Criminal History Record

  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Certification

  • Federal Criminal History Record

CHILD ABUSE CERTIFICATIONS REQUEST MUST BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST SIXTY (60) DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF SERVICE INTERACTING WITH MINORS.
