Course Description

Many of us begin a meditation practice as a way to reduce stress and relax. Studies and research continue to show the amazing benefits that meditation has on balancing the body's systems. "The mind, heart, and body improve with regular meditation."

Join us in community as we embark on this meditation journey through sitting practices, as well as class discussions on a Buddhist topic each week. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned practitioner, meditation is an ongoing practice and all are welcome. As we clear the mental clutter, we allow more space to be here now and begin to improve many health ailments, such as chronic pain, anxiety, stress, as well as promote healthy hearts, boost immune system, and so much more! When we come together in this way, we support this process of developing a solid meditation practice in our personal lives, which in turn, enhances more equanimity in our lives and our relationships. Additionally, we will be discussing and sharing on the teachings of the Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, the Anapanasati Sutta, Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path.

This course is taught by Tammy Keorkunian, MA, BA, RYT and is held at the Temple University Ambler Campus.
