Course Description

Temple University Harrisburg’s (TUH) Credential for Strengths-based Family Workers (SFW) is a professional training and credentialing program that is comprised of a competency-based curriculum. It is unique in its focus on the development and documentation of knowledge and skill through a multi-faceted evaluation process.  Workers who complete the program are better able to facilitate a family’s ability to set and reach their own goals. While nationally standardized, the training is tailored to meet the needs of local communities.

Participants wishing to obtain the SFW Credential and have passed all the prerequisite courses are eligible to register for the Final Exam. The exam helps to assess the knowledge a participant must have to be successful in the practicum. This is a prerequisite to the practicum and participants must pass the exam with an 80% or higher to be eligible to enroll in the practicum.

The exam consists of 40 questions. You will have 2 hours to complete the exam.

Please contact the Program Manager at sfwtuh@temple.edu to schedule your exam.
