ONCE1151 - Microsoft Excel: Utilizing advanced calculations
Course Description
Excel empowers us to use advanced calculations to minimize the time we spend typing and maximize the amount of information we can get from our data sets. The first part of this workshop will focus on the benefits of different types of calculations and a painless method for advanced math. In the second half of the workshop, you'll practice using tables to assist with advanced calculations and using tools like IF statements.
Instructor biography
Hope Lindauer is President of Lindauer Learning Systems, a computer training, consulting and programming company established in 1992. She has twenty eight+ years in the computer training industry, holding various positions including instructor, project manager and education services manager prior to starting her own company. These varied positions have given her a complete grasp of the training industry from training and sales to cost management. In addition, she is an ICDL Proctor, ICDL Certified Instructor, Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) and holds Comptia’s IT Project + Certification, along with various Microsoft Office Specialist certifications.
Cancellation, Withdrawal and Refund Policy
A participant who withdraws from a non-credit course, in writing, up to one-week prior to the starting date of the course, will receive a refund, minus a $25 withdrawal fee; for all certificate programs the withdrawal fee is $50. For courses costing $75 or less, the withdrawal fee is $10 per course. No refunds will be given after that time. E-mail your withdrawal request to: course.withdrawals@temple.edu. Please note that if you do not officially withdrawal from a course and you do not attend the course, you are still responsible for payment. Temple University reserves the right to cancel a course for any reason. If the course is cancelled, you will be notified and your entire tuition will be refunded.
