Course Description

Clinical social workers can support and facilitate growth for neuro-diverse individuals and their families along the continuum of diagnoses, assessment, and connection to appropriate resources. Without proper assessment, recommendations, and interventions, individuals may be misdiagnosed. This course will prepare social workers to diagnose, assess, and implement appropriate interventions for autism using systems and person-in-environment theoretical frameworks. Participants will increase their knowledge of neuro-diverse individuals and their ability to provide quality, culturally appropriate services.
