Course Description
Mindfulness is an evidenced based intervention for individuals struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety and chronic pain. There is also evidence supporting mindfulness’ effectiveness in reducing stress and preventing burnout. This course focused on practicing and teaching mindfulness-based interventions for both personal and professional use. This course is an introduction to mindfulness-based practices and interventions for both personal and professional use. It is a workshop style course with a focus on experiential learning.

Learner Outcomes
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
· Define mindfulness as a personal and professional practice.
· Recognize the usefulness of a range of mindfulness techniques.
When participants return to the workplace, they will be able to:
· Implement mindfulness practices to achieve better self-regulation (for self and individuals).
· Utilize trauma-sensitive language to safely implement these interventions into their practice.
