Course Description

Individuals with trauma histories and other mental health concerns can experience a variety of symptoms that not only impact their psychological well-being but also their mind-body connection. Trauma-sensitive yoga can help individuals cultivate mindfulness, improve their ability to self-regulate, cultivate safety and ownership in their bodies as well as build self-awareness and compassion to alleviate the symptoms of PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. This course is part of the trauma-informed practice certificate, and is open to all participants, including those seeking to complete the certificate and individuals wishing to take individual courses.
