This course will focus on the mental health in the African American community. The course will tackle topics and conversations that go unheard in the African American community. The lessons and conversations throughout the course will allow the students the opportunity to learn and understand the importance of mental health in our community. With understanding mental health in the African American community, we will start at the root and history of traumatic experiences that has minimized the importance of mental health awareness.
