Course Description

Human trafficking (HT) is the world’s second largest and fastest growing criminal enterprise. Pennsylvania is a pass-through, destination, and source state for human trafficking. This course will equip service providers and community members with the tools to: define sex and labor trafficking, recognize the warning signs and dynamics of HT, identify local anti-trafficking legislation and policy, recognize the red flags of HT and how victim trauma exacerbates vulnerability to HT, and identify local resources that can provide assistance to victims of HT.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

When participants return to the workplace, they will be able to:  

  • Apply screening skills to help identify human trafficking victims; and
  • Increase their knowledge of local resources for human trafficking victims.
