Course Description

Names like Snowden and Manning have punctuated discussions about our government’s ability to keep secrets. What is a whistleblower? Are they heroes or traitors? Are leakers any different from whistleblowers or spies? Join a former intelligence officer who has dealt with highly classified material to discuss the differences between protected information and the public’s right to know. Presented by Ira Cooperman, who has worked with the CIA and lectured at the Chautauqua Institution and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
