Course Description

Do you have a novel idea and are interested in bringing it to market? Have you developed a patent and for a limited application and want to expand its use? Join us for a morning of informative workshops and interactive activities designed to help bring the Entrepreneur out of the Engineer! 

Entrepreneurial and Research leaders from the College of Engineering’s faculty and staff ranks will present on topics like Reorienting from Vertical Innovation to Horizontal Innovation, Translating Expert Data for Non-Experts, Thinking on your feet and more! All of our presenters and facilitators will also lead registrants in a self-interview exercise to help bring out your own ideas. The event will conclude with a moderated panel discussion where our facilitators will share their own experiences with research, patents, start-ups, and make themselves available to your questions as well!

Registration is free and breakfast and lunch are included!

Notes

Registration for the Entrepreneurship in Engineering workshop is broken up into two distinct sessions.  The first session (ENGRWK0002-001) consists of complimentary breakfast, a series of 20-minute workshops led by our faculty and staff facilitators, and rapid one-on-one interviews.  The second session (ENGRWK0002-002) consists of the Entrepreneurial Engineers Panel and lunch.  Attendees are welcome to register for one or both sessions!
