Course Description

This three week pre-arrival online preparation course focuses on activities and material to familiarize students and increase their comfort level with the English comprehension and teaching methodologies used in a U.S. business school, through practice of their listening, speaking, and reading skills, as well as, to a lesser extent, writing skills. This course is designed as a lead-in to prepare students for their arrival at Temple University when they will be enrolled in an intensive Business English preparation course designed to further expand on these skills. Also please note: this online orientation course is not designed to cover Accounting English. English for accounting purposes will be introduced in the onsite course. The skills practiced in this online orientation will improve listening and reading comprehension and overall functioning in the onsite courses. The goal is to better prepare students to begin their Master of Science in Accounting program
