IELP4303 - Advanced Writing Workshop

Course Description

This course will take students through the process of writing different kinds of admission essays and help develop some essential study skills. The aim is to enable students to advocate for their education and learn ways to keep up with academic work/expectations. We will be working both independently and collaboratively to complete tasks and the final project. This is not a lecture course, so students will be expected to participate actively in every class. Our in-class work will include discussions, analysis of various kinds of print material, and writing. ? 

This course is designed for students who need guidance and suggestions for drafting an admission essay and those who are keen on developing strong study skills for college. You are more than welcome to bring your coffee or tea, or even an owl if that can keep you awake through this class. You are not going to need your cellphone, so either leave it at home or in your bag while the class is in session. Your classmates would appreciate that very much!
