Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheel. There are seven Chakra in the body, each represents a different aspect of our spiritual, emotional and mental health. When our Chakra points are imbalanced or blocked we experience illness, instability and other negative side effects. The practice of yoga helps keep Chakra energy flowing freely. During this workshop we will cultivate balance through chakra focused yoga and meditation sequences. This is a perfect class for those who are just beginning their yoga practice and those who want to learn a more about the dynamics of the Chakra centers.
Instructor: Jazmyn “Yeye Yogini” Burton is a certified yoga instructor, a wellness writer and the co-founder of Philadelphia’s Get Free Fest, an annual yoga and wellness gathering for people of color. Her classes are crafted for all levels and provide a welcoming space for students to develop their personal health goals.
