ONCE0843 - ROBLOX® Makers-Coders-Entrepreneurs! (Ages 8 to 10 & 11 to 14)
Course Description
Discover how to code in the Lua language while playing and designing worlds in ROBLOX®, an online universe where you can create anything you dream of. This new class combines game design concepts, coding, and fun! Young entrepreneurs will also learn how to navigate Roblox’s fast growing marketplace to publish their games. Student-created games will be available on a password protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.
Course Outline
Parents, remember when you register your child for camp, you must create an account for your child. After selecting your camps and adding them to the shopping cart, when you click on "check-out" you must create an account for each child you wish to register for camp. Please note there are several sections of this HALF-DAY camp. Choose the section to the right based on the AGE of your child and the campus LOCATION:
ONCE0843-001: AGES 8 to 10:July 30 to Aug. 3, 2018 from 1 PM to 4 PM at Temple University Ambler Campus
ONCE0843-002: AGES 11 to 14: Aug. 6 to 10, 2018 from 9 AM to 12 PM at Temple University Ambler Campus
ONCE0843-003: AGES 8 to 14: July 16 to 20, 2018 from 1 PM to 4 PM at Temple University Main Campus
Summer Camps Refunds/Withdrawals Policy: To receive a refund for a summer camp, you must request a withdrawal at least 3 weeks before the start date of the camp session that your child is enrolled in. If your withdrawal request is received at least 3 weeks before the camp session start date, you will receive a refund minus a $50.00 withdrawal fee. Withdrawal requests received less than 3 weeks before the camp session start date will not be entitled to any refund. This is regardless of when you registered for the camp. All withdrawals must be received in writing and can be sent by email tocourse.withdrawals@temple.edu or by fax at (267) 468-8506.
