Course Description
Recognizing the unique needs of women in the military. This course addresses issues facing military women including sexism, misogyny and the evolving role of women in combat. Family and intimate relationships with a special focus on military sexual trauma are addressed in this course as well. This course qualifies as an elective toward a certificate in Military Counseling
Certificate in Military Counseling:
To qualify for a certificate in military counseling, students must complete
8 three credit courses (totaling 24 CE hours)
Including 3 required courses and 5 electives from the list below.

o Military Counseling II: Military Culture 101 – Implications for Clinical Treatment
o Military Counseling III: The Invisible Wounds of War

o Military Counseling VII: Women Warriors
