Course Description

Join Philadelphia fiber artist and longtime educator, Dianne Koppisch Hricko, for this two-day workshop designed with adult students and educators in mind. Over two Saturdays, you will explore color theory and composition on fabric using textile surface design techniques. Working with the ancient Japanese resist processes of shibori, and contemporary mini silk screen thermofax, you will investigate dyeing and color removal as a means of understanding design and composition. You will experience building your composition in layers. All materials are readily available, and projects will translate well to K-12 classroom settings.  Enhance your artistic practice though hands-on instruction in an environment that encourages experimentation!
