Course Description

The use of symbols has become a helpful means of making use of non-rational and intuitive means of functioning. These symbols can be identified as archetypes, which have existed since ancient history. The course will examine the unconscious content of archetypes, such as mother, father, hunter, priest, as well as the archetypical symbolism of the zodiac and selected fairy tales. We will also attempt to navigate these instinctual patterns from the unconscious and apply them to individual life experiences.

Presented by Michael Heinsdorf, MDiv, STM, MA, a former Lutheran pastor, high school German instructor and adjunct faculty member at LaSalle University.
