Course Description

Use your favorite game to learn the basics of modding and foundations of programming. Learn scripting and logic statements as you create your first mods! Introductory coding will also be taught through a simulated environment inspired by Minecraft. Student projects will be available on a password protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. To access their project at home students must own a PC/MAC version of Minecraft. Tablet, phone, and game console versions of Minecraft are not compatible.Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. 


Parents, remember when you register your child for camp, you must create an account for your child. After selecting your camps and adding them to the shopping cart, when you click on "check-out" you must create an account for each child you wish to register for camp. This is a Half-Day Camp. Please note there are several sections of this camp. Choose the section to the right based on the AGE of your child and the campus LOCATION:

  • ONCE0757-005: July 30 to Aug 3, 2018 at the Ambler campus for youth ages 8 to 10
  • ONCE0757-006: August 6 to 10, 2018 at the Ambler campus for youth ages 11 to 14
  • ONCE0757-007: August 13 to 17, 2018 at the Main campus for youth ages 8 to 14
