Tyler School of Art and Architecture is now accepting nominations for the Creative Scholars Program which will be held in-person for fall 2021 and spring 2022. This program is a year-long full scholarship pre-college program offered on Saturdays for ten weeks in the fall semester and ten weeks in the spring semester. The program is open to 10th, 11th and 12th grade public high school and charter students. Students will develop technical skills and participate in college level classes. The Creative Scholars Program is designed to ensure students are prepared for the college application process.

Participants have the opportunity to study with Tyler faculty members in the school’s state-of-the-art facilities. The curriculum will provide in-depth learning experiences that will enable students to advance their work and include extensive portfolio preparation. Students will get the opportunity to use professional art tools as well as digital creative applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, AfterEffects and more. All materials and media required for the courses in the program are provided for the students.

Nomination Process
Philadelphia high school teachers and guidance counselors can nominate up to two students for this program.
The Apply Now button will open our Creative Scholars Program nomination form. You will be asked to include required information about yourself, your guardian, and your teacher or guidance counselor, along with a quick questionnaire, a short essay response, and a portfolio submission. The nomination submission deadline is September 20, 2021. After this deadline, all nominations will be reviewed and the Office of Pre-College Programs will notify each student regarding their acceptance.
