Course Description
This overview of furniture design provides you with both a historical and a technical perspective. In the first two sessions, you'll identify and explore the major periods of furniture styles throughout the centuries and learn how to identify major periods of design. The final session is focused on qualities of furniture construction, including both case goods and upholstery.
Instructor Biography
Kristine Robinson is an award-winning interior designer with specialties in custom window treatments, color consulting, and antiques. Kristine has lent her innovative vision and distinguished design experience to creating beautiful, functional homes for clients across the country for nearly 20 years. As the lead instructor for Temple University’s interior design certificate program, she teaches both her students and her clients how to use their spaces in the best possible way.
Cancellation, Withdrawal and Refund Policy
A participant who withdraws from a non-credit course, in writing, up to one-week prior to the starting date of the course, will receive a refund, minus a $25 withdrawal fee; for all certificate programs the withdrawal fee is $50. For courses costing $75 or less, the withdrawal fee is $10 per course. No refunds will be given after that time. E-mail your withdrawal request to: course.withdrawals@temple.edu. Please note that if you do not officially withdrawal from a course and you do not attend the course, you are still responsible for payment. Temple University reserves the right to cancel a course for any reason. If the course is cancelled, you will be notified and your entire tuition will be refunded.
