Come away with the tools and techniques you need to improve your copywriting skills and learn how to avoid the common writing mistakes that can hold you back. This is a one-month, online course.

Unit 1: Copywriting Essentials

  • How to tell the difference between bad copy and good copy

Unit 2: Getting to the Point

Unit 3: Self Editing

  • Leaving yourself time for revisions

  • Avoiding common grammar mistakes and punctuation pitfalls

Unit 4: Creating Attention-grabbing Press Releases

  • Writing benefit-driven copy

This UGotClass course is a one-month, self-paced online course. This section is scheduled for Mar 4-29. 2024. There are no set meeting dates or times.

Students will be emailed online course access from LERN/UGotClass on the Wednesday before the first class meeting. 

Cancellation, Withdrawal and Refund Policy

A participant who withdraws from a non-credit course, in writing, up to one-week prior to the starting date of the course, will receive a refund, minus a $25 withdrawal fee; for all certificate programs the withdrawal fee is $50. For courses costing $75 or less, the withdrawal fee is $10 per course. No refunds will be given after that time. E-mail your withdrawal request to: NCCE@temple.edu. Please note that if you do not officially withdrawal from a course and you do not attend the course, you are still responsible for payment. Temple University reserves the right to cancel a course for any reason. If the course is cancelled, you will be notified and your entire tuition will be refunded.
