Course Description

 This is a survey of American Political governmental institutions involved in making and enforcing policy decisions at the local, state, regional, and national levels of the United States.  This course is also designed to introduce students to conceptual frameworks of American Politics, non -governmental participants in American governance and institutions that determine who gets what, when, and how in American Society.  Reading and discussing current newspaper articles and events as well as oral presentations are course requirements. Instructor: Dr. Jamal Benin, a lifelong PASCEP veteran and colleague of founder Annie D. Hyman, is a Professor in Temple University Intellectual Heritage department and an Adjunct Professor at Lincoln University.  Dr. Benin exemplifies the PASCEP mission of "Keeping the Community Informed".
